Although flights to Australia are not the most well-liked among crew, I always have something to look forward to.
This time round it was because I was introduced to more good food by a Sydney-sider.
Sharing a full rack of BBQ ribs at Hurricane's in Darling Harbour with Sarah.
Hurricane's Mini Octopus Salad is simply lovely! The octopus was hardly "mini" (I thought they'd be the size of the red Japanese ones), they were almost the size of a tennis ball.
The longer bones are pork ribs and the shorter ones lamb. We did our best, but we still left some behind.
Next morning, we started with coffee and a brownie (so good!!) at Starbucks near Harbourside on the way to the Sydney Fish Market (15 mins walk from Darling Harbour).
It was a good thing we got there earlier than the tourists and lunch crowd to get choice cuts of fresh fish.
Salmon, Kingish and Tuna sashimi, a dozen rock oysters, grilled prawns and scallops and seaweed. Healty healty.
Now, it wasn't ALL food, we also visited the Sydney Aquarium in Darling Harbour. Quite pricey, if not for the buy-one-free-one offer Sarah had, but worth a visit, especially for children.
